TJR (real name TJ Rozdilsky) has built a formidable catalogue of remixes and original tracks since broadening out from his acid house and techno roots in 2008. He has consistently been cooking up big room bangers that have received massive support from prominent DJ's around the world. Originally from the little state of Connecticut, a move to Los Angeles in 2009 saw him embrace the benefits of America's hot spot for electronic dance music.
He first gained exposure as a promising newcomer to the electro/fidget house scene. Combining his love for grimey analog bass, bouncey arp patterns, and quirky vocal samples, he began crafting a refreshingly new cross-over sound. Best representing this sound was “Booty Move” on Jack Union. It topped at #11 in Beatport's Electro chart and Fatboy Slim used it as his first track for his Mixmag Cover CD in 2010. So far in 2011 he's seen more chart success with originals like “Juke It' on Potty Mouth Music and most notably “One Love” which reached #2 in House and #4 in Beatport's overall top 100 chart.TJR has also demonstrated a natural ability for creating incredible remixes as well. Examples include Armand Van Helden "Boogie Monster", LA Riots "The Drop", Surecut Kids “Drunk In This”, Mightyfools “World Tour”, Viro & Rob Analyze Feat Whiskey Pete “Limelight” and WhiteNoize "The Underground".What makes TJR's live sets special is his capacity for diversity, blending together a plethora of energy and different genres into his main room sound. Competing and winning DJ battles was the main influence behind this style that involves creative mixing and impromptu scratching.
TJR has performed throughout the United States and Canada, and has amassed an impressive event resume. Recently he gained at residency for L.E.D at Voyeur in San Diego, CA (ranked #68 club in the world by DJ Mag). With upcoming releases, remixes and worldwide support from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Benny Bennasi, Paul Van Dyk, Calvin Harris, Chris Lake, Chuckie, Umek, Designer Drugs, Claude VonStroke, Mustard Pimp, AC Slater, Hatiras, Nom De Strip and Calvertron we can safely say TJR has positioned himself amongst the finest.
